Role Summary
This role is a part of TRATON Group R&D, located in Södertälje, Sweden
Are you curious about software development and passionate about creating intuitive digital experiences for drivers? We are looking for a Development Engineer to join our team working with future driver displays.
In this role, you will contribute to the development of high-quality display functions used in trucks and buses. You will work in a cross-functional agile team, collaborating with developers, designers, testers, product owners and other stakeholders to bring modern, reliable and user-friendly driver displays to life.
This role can suit both junior and more experienced developers. What matters most to us is your mindset: that you are eager to learn, take responsibility, collaborate well with others and want to grow together with the team.
Job Responsibilities
As a Development Engineer, you will be part of a team responsible for developing and maintaining software for embedded driver display systems. The work includes both frontend and backend development, with a focus on creating efficient, reliable and user-friendly solutions.
You will contribute to transforming design ideas and user needs into working software, while considering performance, quality and the limitations of embedded environments. You will also take part in software design discussions, implementation, troubleshooting, debugging and testing in rigs as well as in vehicles.
Together with your team, you will help ensure that our driver displays provide a seamless and premium experience for our customers.
It is beneficial, but not required, if you have experience or knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
- Qt/QML, C or C++
- Embedded Linux or other resource-constrained environments
- UI development
- HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript or modern frameworks such as React, Vue.js or Angular
- Git or other version control systems
- Security and data protection in embedded systems
- Automotive industry or embedded software development
