Let's introduce ourselves The Electric Driveline & Hybrid Department is part of Vehicle Propulsion and is responsible for the complete electric driveline system, including electric machine, inverter, transmission, mounts and drive shafts. We are in an exciting phase where Volvo Cars continues to expand in-house development within electrification.
The team Electric Driveline Verification is responsible for testing and verification of the electric driveline. Our work spans from concept development to final verification before release.
The team consists of two sub-teams called Function Attribute Testing and System Durability Testing, who run attribute and system testing both in rig and vehicle. Rig testing is performed both internally at VCC and externally at different test sites.
What you'll do - Perform testing of electric driveline systems and components
- Plan, prepare and execute physical testing
- Analyze test data and evaluate results
- Fault tracing and root cause analysis
- Coordinate testing activities, including external test sites
- Create and present test reports
- Work closely with design teams, CAE, and workshops, as well as internal and external test labs and other engineering departments
You will typically own your tests end-to-end, giving you a strong understanding of the full verification chain.

Requirements:
- BSc/MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or similar
- Experience in testing and/or analysis within relevant area
- Experience with data analysis tools
- Fluent in English
- Driver’s license (B)
Meritorious:
- Experience from BEV or electric driveline testing
- Measurement technology and instrumentation experience (CAN tools)
- Scripting / Python
- Knowledge of Teamcenter or similar systems
