What you'll do As a Data Engineer in SVA (Safe Vehicle Automation) Data Management & Platform you will be involved in building & maintaining data pipelines and organizing data. The data you produce is used by other parts of our organization to generate insights, build AI models, and do verification of software/systems. You work continuously to automate all parts of your data and control flows. You are involved both in hands-on development in the team and engaged in end-to-end improvement and evolution across teams. You are using and influencing data storage systems and actively engage in making the systems efficient and safeguarding the need for your business is considered.
What you'll bring We believe you are an experienced professional with 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a general understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing, and big data technologies. You can design, develop, and operate data pipelines, and see the value of observability and traceability build in from start.You have strong communication skills and are engaged in internal and cross team relations that you nurse and evolve. You take your own initiative and can handle tasks even when they are not fully defined.From your background you bring strong competence in programming languages such as Python, experience from working in Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting, and Software development workflow (GitLab, Gerrit, Airflow and Jenkins). It is merit if you have experience from Containerization, Kubernetes and PBS. Experience from system development with Cloud systems like AWS/GCP/Azure is a merit. To be able to interact with and contribute to data storage, we believe you have basic experience in database systems, preferably in relational databases, SQL, NoSQL, and data pipeline orchestration (we use Airflow). You have a good knowledge of data models so you can design and debug them. You are a problem solver that can move between high level view and design details, possess analytical and problem-solving skills that you use for troubleshooting data and pipelines
